Tue, Wed, Thurs

I have used a 'fiery hot' pesto sauce from a glass jar over the last couple of days. It was so spicy that it was used over three days easily. The first eve I used Gnocci pasta dumplings with a tin of toms a couple of tablespoons of the sauce and then boil the gnocci for a couple of mins in the tom sauce.

second night I boiled parsnips, carrots pots and added cream and a couple of tablespoons of the sauce to make a casserole.

third night I added cooked chicken onion and pasta though you could use rice any of the casserole left from last night add water and sauce to make up a sauce over the pasta or rice.

It was very spicy so we used yoghurt for those who needed it cooled!

pancakes

I am beginning to wonder how I can give Mima my 1 year old more things to do that she will enjoy and that will enable her to grow more.

I saw today a suggestion to buy that squisy cream for her to push her fingers around with. sounds fun.

lunch
Busy day with church and supermarket shopping. So we have had pancakes for lunch. The kids made the batter and we added bananas and maple syrup or just sugar. Yum and so much fun.
for two each:
200g (8oz) plain flour (I don't bother to sieve)
2 large eggs
1 pint of liquid (equal mix of water and milk)

You can either add it all together and then use a blender to get rid of any lumps or
you can slowly add liquid to the flour and egg to form a smooth batter.

tea
I bought a really lovely quiche and will do some chunky chips from potatoes for tea.
